UK matting manufacturer Plastic Extruders Ltd is delighted to be one of the sponsors of ‘The Coldest Journey’, the challenge to take on one of the last remaining polar challenge by attempting to cross Antarctica in winter – the coldest journey on Earth. During the six month period the expedition’s Ice Team will travel more than 2,000 miles, mostly in complete darkness and in temperatures as low as minus 90°C.
Vynagrip anti-slip matting, supplied by UK PVC matting manufacturer Plastic Extruders Ltd, is fulfilling an unusual application at the Hollywood Bowl in Horwich, Bolton. Here the bowling-alley management chose the matting to provide a slip resistant working surface which would prevent technicians slipping on the concrete floor and provide a safe footing when climbing and dismounting the ladders.
