Busy luxury department store Selfridges sought a retail entrance mat that would stop dirt and moisture at the door, while offering highly effective slip resistance for customers.
Every day, a huge number of shoppers walk through the entrances of Selfridges stores in Birmingham’s famous Bull Ring and in Manchester’s Trafford Centre. Both needed high performance entrance matting that would remove dirt and moisture from shoes, but the Birmingham store entrance posed an additional challenge because it’s accessed via an external walkway that’s open to the elements. The retail entrance mats also had to be quick and easy to install while the store was closed.
