The problem
In 2023, Toronto’s Masjid Al-Istiqama was having issues with the matting in its ablution areas; they were deteriorating quickly and had crumbled with ongoing exposure to water.
This meant that their worshippers were faced with slip hazards while they undertook ‘Wudu’, an Islamic ritual performed before prayer. Plus, the crumbling mats compromised the look of the mosque’s pristine facilities and design.
Masjid Al-Istiqama’s Imam, Abdi Adan Farah, approached us for a safety solution that was long-lasting, slip resistant and would match the mosque’s elegant aesthetic.

The solution
